SCOTTISH INDEPENDENCE: OPINIONS SPECIAL

Dust tracks where roads used to stand lead up to a dishevelled looking mud hut, in which we find a family of 35, all huddled together under one sheet of A4 paper, desperately clinging onto the last remains of life they have left in their poor disease-ridden bodies. They wait for night to come, only to be kept awake by the raiders who come to take what little they have left back to the grinning warlord who sits upon his throne of human remains…...at Holyrood.

 

Why I'm voting yes

Why I'm voting no

‘There is now a natural majority for a Yes vote. By a factor of nearly four-to-one, people agree with us that decisions about Scotland are best made in Scotland, not by Westminster’ That was Alex Salmond talking at a march last year in Edinburgh to support Scottish independence. A clear case of him using selective evidence to prove his point - a classic politician’s conceit.

Why I'm undecided

Scottish independence is going to be a prominent topic of debate in the countdown to September 18 2014. Many people have already voiced their support or disdain of the subject in papers and online. I however, am still completely undecided. Why? Because I feel both sides haven’t produced a solid enough argument for me to decide.
